Wherever possible we would try to maintain your teeth, however there may be times when this is not possible and your tooth needs to be removed.
Reasons for dental extractions may be:
• Tooth decay beyond repair
• Advanced gum disease
• Orthodontic reasons (to create space)
• Impacted wisdom teeth
• Buried or retained roots
We would assess the tooth initially, usually with an X-ray to help us plan the procedure. The tooth would be fully anaesthetised and during the procedure you should never feel any discomfort. We would then give you full aftercare instructions, both verbally and in writing, to ensure you know how to care for the area once home.
The team are extremely experienced in performing extractions, we also accept referrals from other dentists for difficult extractions or where an extraction has been attempted and failed. We are able to perform both straightforward extractions and more complicated surgical extractions. We have the expertise and the equipment to be able to carry out a surgical extraction efficiently and you will be surprised at how straight forward it seemed!
We will send you a confirmation within 24 hours. Emergency? Call 01904 653 284
